My Legacy Remote draws 60mA from the batteries when the unit is OFF.

It draws 180mA when the unit is on.

I cannot leave batteries in the unit it will drain them in 1 day.

Anyone else run into this issue?  Any solutions?  The Legacy Remote is old, it was the first ones that came out.  It must be out of warranty now, so I am open to suggestions / home brew fixes.

So far I have ruled out two "fixes"

1) Get an extension cord for the unit. (Kinda flies in the face of having a remote after all)

2) Remove batteries after each use (not compatible with the older model of brain I use which forgets a lot)

Thanks for reading!
