I recently purchased a Lionel 0-6-0 Docksider. The detail and workmanship of the engine is very good. It runs great and is a great puller. I am having an issue with the electronic E unit. It sometimes will not reverse (usually in a hard to reach spot). Short of replacing the board, any suggestions out there? I also stalls on my 5121 and 5122 switches sometimes. My guess is the short wheel base hits a dead spot on the switch,  but thought I would add it to the post. 2016-04-02 15.05.58

Thanks

I love these little guys, and wish Lionel made a command version.  My 1st Lionel locomotive was one of these.  But I have always had problems with mine too.  The last issue was white wasn't working right, so I took it all apart and reseated all connections and tightened screws and put it back together and haven't had any sound of control issues since.  Not to say this will solve your issues too, but it worked for me.  Also, FYI, these are not for the faint of heart to open and put back together, they are tight and must go together is the correct order.
