Lionel asks us NOT to post pictures until they do on Friday.
Useless post, can't tell anything anyway.
Well, I can tell the CB&Q heritage unit has too much black and not enough gray, (should come down about midway of the cab windows...) plus would look better with "Way of the Zephyrs" on the engineers side and "Everywhere West" on the firemans side.

Really.. I thought I provided just what I said, a sneak peak. Your post is the useless one.
I like a lot of stuff so far. Can't wait to see the whole thing on Friday.
Where are the pictures of SD40-2?
So far I'm liking that Wabash F-7. Looks good...
Thanks for the shots
Joe
Thanks for the preview, Mitch. Not everyone wants to wait until Friday.
Thank you for posting a link to those pictures. Even though I won't buy anything, it's fun to look.
I like the (truck) trailers in the second photograph!

Charlie.. I'm not a dealer just a hobbyist.
MichRR714: Thank you for the photos! I appreciate them. Lionel's instructions to dealers can't apply to you. Looks like a lot of good stuff in that new catalog.
Any photos of the postwar inspired items?
Can you get some photos of the Postwar Items? So far I am in for all the diecasts, the CSX motor city set, and the CN Set
thanks for posting! I agree may you please post pictures of the postwar stuff
Any new scale freight car tooling?

Brian

Caught that...I guess I should have added a "steam/transition-era" disclaimer!
I was hoping for a 6 panel single sheathed 40' boxcar or a 36' boxcar...

Charlie,
If Lionel wishes, they could pursue legal action due to copyright law. Something to think about.
Thank you for the pictures.
My wallet let out a yelp and ran into the other room!!
The Milwaukee Road, Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern!!!
Anyone want to buy a kidney?
Thx for posting sneak peak
Like ur website---cool
Any postwar stuff in the new catalog???
Thx again
Joe S
I don't know the legal angle but dealers are showing them in their stores so I really don't see much difference if someone shows them online. The dealer catalogs are open to the public.
Here is the postwar list:
No Conventional Classics, No Postwar Celebration Series BUT a new series called "Postwar Inspired"
2239 IC Freight Set
Archive NYC F-3 Gray/red
Archive SF F-3 Black/red
X-628 Promo Set Navy Alco AB with Miniteman box, Heli, Flat, Sub and Navy Cab.
USMC Alco Olive Drab AB
UP Alco Anniversary Set with 2 extra cars
RI Alco AA's
Girls set Archive 3 pack
MStL Green 6464
Are there any husky stack cars in this catalog?
Regards,
Swafford
Thanks for the pics Charlie! I had to hide my CC...

Thanks. I'll let you know if Lionel has any issue with a hobbyist hyping their pending web posting of a catalog that is already open to the public if you know where to find one.
If Lionel has any issue with the sneak peaks I posted, I'm easy to contact and will be happy to take the images down upon their request.
I was hoping for a LEGACY GP-9 in NY central or Union Pacific lines.
MichRR714,
Can you confirm if the postwar items are conventional or Legacy?
That Wabash F7 looks good to me, and I will have to look closely at the CZ power.
So far Not much in NYC stuff (Good for my Wallet)
George, you missed the Michigan Central (NYC) Berkshire ?
Thought we might see some more steam engines other than the previous sneak peek ones.

Since some forum members seem to think what I've done here is wrong. I won't comment further on the catalog. Hope some of you enjoyed the sneak peak.
Charlie
Watch out, about 4-5 years ago or maybe longer, MoJo Mark hacked the lionel site and posted the catalog on line before lionel did. I think lionel zapped him with some odyssey lurch and he's never been seen since.
Bill
Charlie,
Thanks for posting. Not everybody wants to wait til Friday.
Thanks again.

I agree more please.Charlie It's a nice thing you did here
I appreciate it.
THANKS,ALEX
Bill I know charlie, he would not hack Lionel. If you look to the bottom you can see someones hand holding the catalog pages open.
If they really are scale, I want several of the tractor-trailers on the rail-to-road sets, so I can convert them to Superstreets - that would be just too cool. I will order some on Friday at my LHS, once the catalog comes out and I know the product #s to give them.
Those new GP-35's sure look like they have fixed pilots... Look how low the handrails go. Unless it's a photoshop.
