Lionel 4090 & 1033 Transformers

I would like to use one of these transformers to power a 450 trestle bridge. I would like to use the constant voltage settings. My question is when I hook up to the B & C posts for a constant voltage of 11 volts (on the 4090) what is the common post in this case? Thanks in advance for the help

In the 1033, the B post is the common post for A-B and B-C wirings; those windings are separate from the A-U track power.
