So I have a Lionel graduated trestle set #6-2110. The track clips that come with the set are meant for O27 track. I have "O" gauge track. Are there different clips for "O" gauge track or is there another method of attachment ?

I have set 6-12754 that is for 0 and 027 gauge. The only difference I can see is yours has tabs sticking up on the ends of the tie channel. I would cut them off. Slide the 0 gauge track tie joints under the tabs in the center of the tie channel and screw the track to the tie channel. Two screws diagonally will do it. Screw the pier to your table. They work great.

It's odd Lionel didn't make track clips for "O" gauge track. I can understand your idea, but the existing holes in the plastic clips are spaced for O27. I'd have to drill a new set of holes to accommodate the wider spacing on "O" gauge track.

There were a few "O" mounting methods.
110-20(clamps down on rolled tie bases):
110-29(with offset holes for "O" & "O-27"):
And these later clips from 12754/12755 type trestle sets(also with offset holes for "O" & "O-27"):
Dan, the tie channel plastic is soft enough that I just used my electric screwdriver and used my track screws, without drilling a hole, to attach the track to the tie channel. I have yet had any problems doing it this way and it has been many years that my layout has been built.

Was looking into one of these to elevate my tubular rail. Is it worth it?
By all means. It makes elevating the track easy. Unlike more realistic viaducts and built trestles, using one of Lionel's trestle sets, 110 or 111 to raise your track, allows more visibility of the layout and trains.

I have two post war 110 and two 111 trestle sets for sale. All are complete with boxes and metal clips. Shoot me an email to the email address in my profile if you’re interested.
