wow you know how great it would be to see these locomotives! how about the doors they open to do more classic sets.
Now the 226 is prewar. i would offer it in a set with blue comet cars and for seperate sale. i would like to have optional knuckle couplers in the box and optional tender trucks.
who knows.

My self i would rather have a nice C7 or better original.Plus it would be cheaper than a new remake minus electronics.But if they would remake some more they would be some of the best.

Can't speak for the #226, but we know that the #671/681/682 tooling is intact, and that the #675/2025 was cut up and used as a load on the 1998 Bethlehem Steel set.

Probably the last use of the 675/2025 tool in 1980, the two engines made at this time were both plastic.

i'd love a 675/2025 remake as well i think alot of folks would go for it. but i'm thinking it would have to be all new tooling i wonder if the bue prints for the original tooling still exists somwhere?

No they didn't, but I'm not sure the tooling exsists for that. I believe it was modified to produce the later 2026 & all the other engines in that class.

Be advised if you do get one that they had DC-Only motors. You'll need to upgrade with a new board. These days it's simple, but back then, not so much...

8007 New York, New Haven & New Hartford is the other plastic bodied K-4, made in 1980. From the 1050 New Englander set.
