I'm not real experienced in lionel 3 rail so I post this question. Will an F3 (2353) powered chassis fit in an F3 b she'll without any modifications?

Not an expert, but I would think not. The F3 B units are square at both ends, the A units are square only on the back end. The front end of the A unit is rounded.

No it won't. Not only are the shells a different shape the mounting holes are different as well.
