Every time my Lionel TMCC BNSF Dash 9 goes thru one switch it sparks. There are 11 other 072 switches no sparks. I run a Legacy Southern Pacific Alco switcher thru the same switch with no sparks. No visible signs of damage to the locomotive or switch. Hoping someone may have answer to the problem.

Not that uncommon. It's frequently the position of the switch and the exact configuration of the rollers on the locomotive. I've noticed that on some O72 Fastrack switches, I ended up putting a little Kapton tape at the contact point. The most troublesome spot for me is the center rail on the thru (straight) route when the engine is taking the out (curve) route.
Note the circled area, the outside switch rail is close to the thru center rail. The outside of some wheels hangs over sufficiently to just clip the exposed rail.

It worked. Thanks GunrunnerJohn
Glad it was a simple fix.
