I need a little help on the Lionel H-7. I know this is another release of this monster, I am interested in the C&O version. IT is a brutish looking model, lots of stuff all over the smoke-box front cover, a low set headlight, feed-water tank on top, looks to be some compressors on the front. It also has my favorite tender the Vanderbilt.  This engine has it for me on the looks now I need to know how it runs? any problems you have with it or know about.

Thanks

John

I really liked mine as well.  I had the UP version and it was the best running steamer of all the big Lionel articulateds that I had.  Sounds were good as well.  I always liked the front end details on this locomotive and tthe new electronics in this version should be even better.

Well, none of us will know how the current version runs until it is released and we try it.  Based on the fact that every one of my recent Legacy and Vision locos ran better not just well, but very well, I expect this will, too.  That is what I ordered one (the Union Pacific version - because UP is what I do, and unlike you I prefer the squarer tenders, not the Vanderbilt, and, as John Meixel says, the fireman's side running board looks a bit strange to me over the air pumps).
