Hi. Just discovered the Lionel Hobby Store. From looking at the official Lionel catalog info for each, it seems as if the newer version is the only one that has Plug and Play and comes with the control module. Is this true? Anyone with experience with either? Both? Have read that the newer version is noisy. Thanks.

Thats a pic of one of the older ones. which may be a better chioce.

There was an issue with the newer plug and play versions where the miniature trains on the store display shelves were not included. Heres a link to one of the threads: https://ogrforum.com/...onel-renz-hobby-shop

If your looking to purchase one of the newer versions, see if the seller can inspect it for the trains on the shelves.

Was thinking I would go with the original version. Like the color scheme  better and would be ****ed if the newer version didn’t have the trains on the shelves. First I’d heard about that. Thanks!
