I received the rest of the Lionel City of Miami set a couple of days ago and I thought I would post a few pictures of the locomotive. Note that the E6 now has a fixed pilot option (see picture-Lionel uses a bracket to attach the pilot to the truck; I have not tried to attach it to the frame yet). There are two screw holes in the frame that match the pilot screw holes.

c.sam-that's a very nice layout. The City of Miami is a beautiful train. I plan to post more pictures eventually. I have to give MTH credit for making this train first (back in 2007) since it was relatively obscure and short-lived in the yellow paint scheme (1940 to approximately 1945).
Here is the pilot in the fixed configuration. Remove four screws and the bracket and add the included two screws and plastic spacers-simple. It negotiates the O-72 curves on my temporary carpet layout fine.
