While I don't own nor have seen one. I do own one with Railsounds 5 and the correct 4 chuffs. Excellent runner. My only knock on my engine and the new Legacy ones appear the same. Is the large space between the engine and tender. The small dimensions of this engine makes it ideal for 031 curves and I'm guessing that's the reason for the spacing. My layout is more scale and the huge spacing visually doesn't look good. Wish they had some sort of adjustable drawbar. I loosely model the NH. I've searched for color shots of this engine and they all show a dulux gold scheme. They produced a Mountain years ago that was correct, MTH's 0-8-0 was gold, and Weavers recent I 4 Pacific was done in gold although the original mockup was lettered white. Not saying the white scheme didn't exist on these. Just haven't seen one. The rd. no. they used is for a 3 cylinder Y4. The Lionel model is a USRA which the NH had and they were Y 3's. The MTH is a more accurate model. How much this affects your purchase is up to you. I could live with the large space and would be a buyer if the details were more correct.

It has good detail at a reasonable price. You may want to wait a bit though. These often show-up on blowout sales. I got mine for $399.99.

Ok interesting....

Where did you purchase your engine that has these blowout sales?

Thanks!

I bought mine at Nassau Hobby. I am not sure if they have any left, but you can certainly call. If you're not tied to the New Haven, the deals are out there.
