Just wondering if anyone out there has received their new Lionel 10-wheelers yet? My dealer does not have theirs yet, hoping for a C&NW 1385!

Got the CN a few weeks ago (Nicholas Smith). Ordered after seeing it at York. Everything works fine.
I got both of mine a couple of weeks ago.
A NYC and a SP. I have run the NYC and it's great, but have not had time to run the SP.
OK thanks for the posts thus far. Now to wait and hope my dealer gets theirs.
These engines seem to be getting high marks for their operations, and I guess their looks too.
I would love to see some images of the SP version.
The Lionel ten wheeler is a home run. We have the Legacy version from a few years ago, but the looks and the performance are top notch, even in today's market. I am sure anyone who has the newest version on order will love it.
I'll buy one when they offer a B&M version with Legacy.
We have the Canadian Pacific Legacy version from the last couple of years. A great runner, super smooth, great smoke, sound and has been problem free.
I have a Lionel ten-wheeler from about 10 years ago. It is Chicago and Northwestern but it's lettered for the "Omaha Road" the CStPM&O, which was part of the Northwestern system.
The engine is different than the #1385, most noticeably in that the headlight is mounted at the top of the boiler front. The 1385 is located in the center. There are lots of other differences, too, but I've been using it to pull the 60' series of passenger cars from Atlas, which are correct models of those cars. The engine has TMCC, a great sounding whistle and a good amount of detail. Pulls as many of those "shorty"cars as I want it to, up 2% grades without complaints.
When did Lionel announce a new ten-wheeler? I'll be happy when their recently announced Milwaukee Road heavy Mikado, listed in the 2015 "Signature" catalog, finally arrives. Been waiting for that one for about three years.

Jeff: It could be, ya know, if you could get someone to blow into it (pretty hard, you need a compressor or actual steam) and Lionel could make a recording. They have been known to go out of their way to do things like that. Be worth their while.

sure wish Lionel would produce a Lionchief version of the ten wheeler and maybe a small mallet.....2-6-6-0, 2-6-6-2 or even the obscure 2-4-4-2 for us with smaller sized layouts and radius.. Love seeing wheels in action!
