If it has not been giving you any problems, that might do it.
At some point the battery will need to be replaced (either new rechargeable or replaced with a BCR (battery component replacement - essentially a capacitor to replace the need for a battery)
Being a PS2 engine, this might get more response in the DCS area of the forum. The moderators may be able to move it for you.

Just lube and grease, and clean the wheels and pickup rollers if they need it. Then reset the indicator.
