So does anyone have a secret on how to get in touch with them. I have sent them an e-mail with a track layout attached. Got no response. Thata was about a week ago. Today I called them. No answer but got connected to their voicemail. Unfortunately voicemail was full so I couldn't leave a message. I am trying to get a cost on benchwork for the layout I sent them. What to do??

Likely it's either a mom and Pop operation or an "as I get to it side business" as are many of the niche businesses associated with O gauge. Add to that the probability he's up to his kazoo fulfilling (planning, building, and shipping) orders taken last month at York . For all the above reasons plus having inquiries, like yours stemming from York and he's likely swamped with work. I'd suggest sending him a reminder email in a week and calling him regularly hoping he'll pick up or at least his voicemail will be empty so you can leave a message.
I have not yet ordered from them but I can tell you they are very friendly to deal with. A phone call will go a long way. Not every business is 'internet' friendly. And I mean that in a good way.
I'd say it depends on how bad you want to use their bench work and how serious you are about paying their rates. You can get a rough estimate by looking at the various kits in their online catalog and finding one close to what you'll need. You can add expansion kits to get a more accurate estimate.
FWIW, I got a response to an email once, but it took several weeks. In fact, it took so long that I had all but forgotten about it. I also got no response to 2 followup emails and I never did call because I was forced to change my plans. If this is a side business and they're swamped, I think the least they could do is post some kind of notice on their website, so potential customers aren't left in limbo.
If you want to pursue it, then I think Kenn has the best advice, simply keep trying.
Are you firm on Mianne? I am using Sievers and I couldn't be happier. Sturdy and well made. They do answer the phone , too.
seems like I read another post on this here that I think said it can be 3 months or more to get the product as he is a cabinet maker by day and this is in fact a side business as time allows.
if your handy tool wise make an open grid or your own small tables for flat areas and you can customize them as you go to what your scenic needs are.
I watched the Mianne video product looks nice but if not available when customer needs it then rather a mute point!
not meaning to knock them just pointing out if your wanting to get going sooner than later then maybe this isn't an option.
Thank all of you for your replies. I have decided to give Sievers a try. Sent them an e-mail and they replied almost immediately. They are going to take a look at my layout and make recommendations on what would be needed and what it would cost. Anxiously awaiting.
