Back in 1978, the Blue Comet was the epitome of Lionel! It had sound of steam but, no whistle. In 1981, The Alton Limited added a die cast tender, and whistle, and now I was really hooked.  The two trains ran regularly on my layout for the next 10 years. I thought today, let's get them out just for fun. So, here they are once again. Complete with the glory of the electronic whistle. Down on the lower level, another Fundimensions era train, my C&NW "400" trundles along. This was modeled after the Peninsula "400," which was often down to two coaches north of Green Bay on its way to Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

As you can see, I've added a few extra Blue Comet cars along the way.
