I just bought this one, brand new in the box, MTH 20-3017 2-6-6-6 Allegheny. A great find from 1996, but was I in for a surprise when I went to change the 9V battery. It looks like the dealer sent it in and had it upgraded to Protosound 2.0, or was it switched with a newer unit from 2003? It is very obvious that this engine has never been on track. I think I made one heck of a find, the guy I bought it from never new it was 2.0, he had only removed it from its box to take some pics of it, he had bought it from a hobby shop that was going out of business.  I have never seen pictures of one with the painted window treatment, is that normal or could it have been done at special request?
