At my urging my adult grandson cranked the Big Boy fast freight up to 110 mph before he backed off. I honestly don't know how fast it will go. There are about 47 freight cars in the consist. We did run it with no grades.

i think they all max out at 120......the ones my grandkids run ,i have them set at a max of 40mph....you can set the max speed through your dcs handheld remote...
All I have is Lionel command, but I had my new Lionel BB pulling a train of aux tender, 10 reefers, and caboose at speed step 200 for 5+ min on a O72 loop. It handled it like a champ, so I'm sure the MTH BB would do the same at full speed.
