Any way to fix a r2lc that when put on track it doesn't wait to program (or wait for the tmcc signal) it just takes off in conventional mode? i tried another r2lc in engine and it is fine...

Probably not. The common issues of I/O triacs or the 5V regulator are easy to repair, but when the RF section goes I normally declare them as a total loss.

Obviously, you can look them over to see if there's any obvious physical damage. I have had a couple where the small cap in series with the antenna connection was missing, those were fixed with the addition of a suitable .01uf 0603 cap.
