MTH Premier Hiawatha with PS3.0 or PS2.0? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I understand that half of the Premier Hiawatha Hudsons of 2011 vol. 1 catalog were shipped with PS2.0 and half with PS3.0. Two dealers have confirmed that the sets (20-3438-1) they received are PS2.0. Maybe the sets were shipped with PS2 and the engines (20-3437-1) alone with PS3? If anyone has the 2011 Hiawatha can you tell which version you have? I understand PS3.0 does not use batteries and can be used in DCC applications. I don't understand why MTH would split the order of the same engine, however since the catalog and website list them with PS3.0, including all shipped as PS3.0, I'd be a disappointed if I pre-ordered a product advertised with new technology only to receive the older PS2 product. Does anyone know anything about this?

Makes me glad the dealer lost my pre-order. I already have a Hiawatha streamliner with 2.0; the only reason I ordered the set was to get the new electronics. The dealer, who I will not name, did me a great favor by screwing up.

So the catalog said it would have PS 3.0 and they were delivered with 2.0? Does MTH plan to upgrade them?
