MTH Premium Lash Up Issues

Whenever I attempt to move a lashup, neither of the engines move. The horn and bell works, along with directional lighting, but no movement.

At first glance, it sounds like the lashups may be missing the watchdog signal, since that exact behavior is what happens in that case.

Regardless, if you can describe exactly what you're doing and exactly what responses you're getting, we can try to see where is the problem.

I can attest that, during and since beta test, I and the other beta testers found that, aside from minor stuff that was either fixed prior to app release or that will be fixed in first app update, lashups work just fine.

Thanks for the reply. How can I fix the Watch Dog Issue? I am not very handy when it comes to DCS. 

Our club pretty much operates without watchdog signals because we keep the layout powered up running under Super-TIU (which can introduce some other issues from time to time), so I'm pretty familiar with your situation.

I don't normally store lash-ups in the remote or tablet. I delete them when I'm done running. For those situations where there's a short or something that breaks the lash-up, I will first try selecting the individual lash-up members, starting each separately, then selecting and starting the lash-up. If that doesn't work, I delete the lash-up, execute a read, then rebuild the lash-up.

In order for a lashup to work properly, it must see a watchdog signal. The watchdog signal is issued on a TIU channel for several seconds when power first starts coming out of that TIU channel. If the lashup misses seeing the watchdog signal, for example if it's on a toggle-switched siding that is not turned on until some time after the watchdog signal has come and gone, you will see the exact behavior that you describe.

To get things to work properly, make sure that the lashup is on a siding that is not switched off when power starts coming out of the channel to which the siding is connected.
