After years of staring at this half complete project I finally got around to getting all the major work done. All of the steps, skirts and end sheets are completely scratchbuilt. I cut the stanchions from the factory piece and made all new railings. Added 2 figures inside as well. Just need to make the coupler lift bars and weather it and it's done.

Looks great! Congratulations!
I'll have to keep an eye open for one to do!
Post some pictures of how you did it, if you have them. Please.
Thanks,
Mario
Heck of a nice job!
Very nice!
Here it is finally finished. I added the scratch built coupler lift bars last night and weathered it this morning. This is my first locomotive weathering project, I think it portrays a well used switcher rather well.
Enjoy the pics!

Question: Where did you get the coupler lift bar brackets?
Love it!

Thanks for the compliments.
Joe the lift bar brackets are from precision scale company, tons of detail parts in their catalog.
Very nice!
