I have recently received a MTH AEM-7 Engine, that when it is in reset speaks the functions instead of the usual "clinks and clanks".
Does any one have the instructions, or just the list and the steps for programming this engine?

It must be "rare" nobody has one.
Never even heard of it.
Must be a QS-3000 board.
Joe, what does that have to do with the talking?
On the last page it says Engineer's Voice replaces the MTH Clink and Clanks with a QS-3000 board.
Interesting, I never knew that. I have had a couple of those go through here, but I never did much except rip them out and put in the command stuff.
At one time you could upgrade the MTH Proto 1 board with a QS3000 top board. these had the vocal announcements you mention plus a greatly expanded set of features. you used to be able to download the manual from QSI I but I don't think that is available anymore
Thanks for the replies.
Have found and downloaded the manual for QS-3000.
The world is full of "Specials".
Good evening Paul, does the voice say "Dispatch I'm ready " after the clinks and clanks and the lights on the locomotive flashes on and off ?
If so it is a QSI 3000 Board.
10-4 on the "Dispatch I'm Ready".
Paul I have a MTH Proto 1 Pennsy K4 that I purchased that was suppose to be a Proto 2 at a train show.
Didn't't figure it out until I got the engine home and on the layout, live and learn !!!!
QSI was advertising there QSI 3000 sound boards at that time and I upgraded this engine to this sound system.
With a MTH Z4000 you can program the feature number and then the engine would go through it's routine and the voice from the engine was the Feature Number, Description of the Feature and then Dispatch I'm Ready. Pretty cool for it's time.
Getting ready to upgrade this engine to Proto 3.
Wish I could take the Pennsy Banshee Whistle that came with this sound system and move it to my future Proto 3.
Why MTH can't copy this whistle for their Pennsy freight engines sound system makes me wonder. It's out their why can't they copy it or copy it and enhance it.
Oh well, good luck with your talking engine !!!!!
