Does anyone know of any suppliers for MTH Taurus locomotives, in 3R? I know MTH has the Yellow Dispolok 3R in stock, but I detest that paint scheme. HUPAC is preferred due to the third pantograph. The unit will be powered by overhead catenary.
Alternatively, can anyone offer some advice about a conversion from 2R to 3R, (as the 2R version is readily available)? Aside from involving the wheels and possible power re-routing (which isn't a real big deal), there is the matter of changing to proto-couplers in lieu of the fine-scale they come with. I'm not convinced its worth the effort on a new locomotive. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.
