I have one of the new Dash 9 Operation Lifesaver (20-20117-1)locomotives. One of the ditch lights does not work. If I send this back to MTH for a warranty repair (since it is still in warranty), how long does it take MTH to repair and return the engine?

I recently had an engine in for a relatively simple repair after a paint defect (shell swap, original paint was coming off). It was there for about 2 months. Remember, this is the busy time of the year but expect, at minimum, a few weeks to a month and don't be surprised if it becomes a lot longer than a month.
I had to send my GE Evolution back for repairs & it was back in 4 days.
Week before thanksgiving, I had one back in 5 days.
If they can fix it with parts they have, it seems like they're getting pretty fast.
If you would like to have your locomotive for the holidays, I suggest you don't send it until the middle of January.
I would send it in now to beat all the christmas returns.Get in line early.
My Lo-V was there 9 months and my TIU 2 weeks so maybe they improved in the past year. Both were out of warranty but charges were reasonable.
It has been my experience that MTH doesn't warrant light bulbs or batteries. Of course, in the interest of good customer relations they might do so, but shipping the loco would be expensive, much cheaper to buy a bulb from them and DIY.
If there's a service station close by you can bring it there.
Is this a new PS-3 engine? If so the light is an LED. G
