ok I fixed the bulb in it hooked it back up it lights and now I can't get it to bubble . I moved the bubbler around a little and turned it upside down and then it started to bubble like crazy but turned it off now it doesn't bubble again. Any ideas what it could be?

Did you change the bulb? it needs a 'hot' bulb. Be sure the bulb make contact with the bubble tube.
This is just a guess, but it might need some of this.
What bulb is hotter 15 volt0.2 a or 14 volt0.20 a
I don't remember what socket the tower has, but if it has a bayonet socket use a GE 363 or Lionel 2848-300 bulb.
if it is a screw base socket, use a GE 1446 0r 1449 bulb.
It is a screw base I found that it might take a 9809-300 but what bulb is this in a aftermarket number.
Ok ordered some 1449 bulbs but also put a piece of tinfoil under the bulb to direct the heat to the water now seems to be working great.
I only have an American Flyer one, but I am using a 430 bulb in mine (no idea if that would fit, it's the size of a prewar 432 bulb, but it's 14v). This works for me, but if your basement is cool, that can cause it to take a lot longer to heat up. I find that when my basement is around 55-60, it will take 20 minutes or so to bubble. At 70-75, it bubbles in a couple minutes.
