My first traditional Christmas tree layout | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

So, We got our tree yesterday and finished our first traditional Christmas tree layout.

I decided to run 2 Pre-war Lionel passenger sets - it was a toss up between these and Post-war S gauge flyer. Tracks are O27 height, O42 and O54 curves. Power is a ZW.

I made the tunnel out of scrap Styrofoam, paper towels dipped in plaster, white spray paint and spray snow. The trees were from the .99 cent store - total cost? less than $7.00

Next year either back to my usual Pre-war Standard gauge on Astroturf or the Post-War American Flyer S gauge mentioned above.

Hi Greg,

This was the first time we took these out of the box from under the basement stairs in about 25 years.

They are nice, even if HO scale
