Here's a few facts and photos of my current layout that runs around my bedroom on a shelf. I'm planning to build a detached shed in my back yard and construct a new layout in the future.
-Name of Layout: Sunrise Mountain and Western RR (SM&W RR)
By the way, Sunrise Mountain is to the east of Las Vegas, Nevada where I live.
-Track system: Lionel Fastrack
-Power is supplied by a Lionel 180W Powerhouse and Legacy Powermaster combo.
-Control System: Lionel Legacy w/ #990 Legacy Command Set
-Size: 10' X 14' (roughly)
-Curves are O36
-Some photos (See attachments below):
1. My Legacy BNSF GP35 #2570, ATSF Boxcar (1st car), ATSF Flatcar w/ Stakes and Bulkheads (3rd car), ATSF Caboose (all three from original train set), and my blue and white Nevada Southern Railway Museum Boxcar (A limited-edition add-on car [2nd car] I bought from the museum in Boulder City, Nevada) You can also see my CW80 Transformer (bottom left of photo, near corner of room), which I switched out for a 180W PH Brick. The blue box on the shelf with all the Legos is my Legacy Powermaster. I'm keeping the CW80 for future expansion.
2. My Legacy #990 Command Set (I love this system! Never going back to conventional operation).
3. My Conventional ATSF 4-4-2 Atlantic #8642 on a display track on my dresser (my first Lionel loco; from a train set) This engine still runs, it has Railsounds, and I love running it with Legacy and the PM.
4. Just pre-ordered these cars: VisionLine ATSF Steel-Sided Reefers (Can't wait until they arrive; won't be until February)
5. A photo of the entire train as of August of this year. You can see my ATSF B40-8W, tank car, brown boxcar, and MTH 1964 Corvette flatcar (B-day presents to myself), plus my original four cars. The Powerhouse is on the shelf where the CW80 was (I got the PH the same day).
6. ATSF B40-8W #562 and BNSF GP35 #2570
7. Some of my freight cars
8. More freight cars
9. Powerhouse and Legacy Powermaster set-up
-The latest photo of my train. The ATSF Lionscale hopper (1st car) and the Boy Scouts Car (6th car) are new as of October of this year.
