My cousin has a 3562-25 pw barrel car, the barrels ride up to the unloader fine but hit the acuator and jam. How are the barrels supposed to unload? Also how does the unloader return to the unload position after discharging a barrel?

I am posting some pics to help show the problem.

Thanks

Dave

Dave,

The black base to which the "blue man"is attached is in just the wrong position.  Gently pry up the base so that it is not hooked over the end of the car.  It should be free to swivel slightly between the barrel channel and the inside of the car end.  Thus when a barrel contacts the pivoting base, it will be directed off the car.  If you have the loader, the barrel should roll from the car, then over a small metal shelf which clips onto the loader, and then onto the loader itself.  By adjusting the voltage as you operate the car and the loader, you can load and unload barrels fairly reliably with only occasional manual intervention.

I hope that was somewhat clear!

Good luck.

Nice pictures!

It doesn't really show, but the black metal plate (and the man) should rock back and forth a bit as the barrel passes by. Some barrel cars (not the one shown) have a little plastic clip molded into the body, along the outside edge, behind the man, to lock the metal plate closed. This prevents the barrels from accidentally vibrating off the car while running. I've had plenty of barrel cars, and have never needed to use the lock feature.
