Need help.

The file you downloaded is zipped. You can use the free trail version of winzip, or any other zip program for that matter to open it.

Thanks. I can unzip the file but not run it. I will try and find a zip program.

Downloaded Express Zip, still can't unzip file. What do I do now? This can't be that hard but i'm pulling out what's left of my hair.

It's hard to walk someone thru. Create a folder in my documents and move the zipped file to it, so that's the only thing in the folder. When you put the cursor on the downloaded file you should see a button that says "extract" if you see that button extract and it should unzip the files and ask if you want to open the program.

if you don't see extract, try right clicking on the zipped file and see if an extract or unzip button shows up. 

I have win 10 and do this all the time. You should no longer have to go get a program to unzip files.

With Windows 10 I never downloaded any unzip app.  It just unzips files.   When I double click on DCS6_00.exe this window pops up.  Click on the Unzip box.

When I type unzip into Windows Help I get this box.

I have no clue why the upgrade files  aren't named *.zip files.

The files unzip but can't be viewed or used. I am using Windows Edge and I wonder if that is the problem.  Thanks Susan.

I just thought of something. When I down loaded those files I clicked on save when asked what I wanted to do with them. I wonder if I should have clicked run. I can locate and unzip them but nothing display's. Maybe I should delete them and start over.

you have to hit browse and then select where you want the unzip files to be unzipped otherwise you wont be able to find them ok! most people select to the desktop so there easy to find. here is the file you need!

Alan I tried that still does not work. I've been working on this for 2 days, I have to be doing something wrong, thanks.

at  http://www.protosound2.com/   in the box at the bottom you need these two files:
11/05/2015   V5.00    DCS Consumer Loader Program
10/06/2017   V6.10   DCS Version 6.10  

The Loader Program is the window that runs the Version 6.1 DCS Software to update the TIU and Remote.

Ok. I downloaded the required files to my desktop. They still won't display after being unzipped. I have no clue what to do next as I am out of things to try.
