My good friend Brian is building a new layout just down the road from me.  I thought some of you might like to see.  The room is 60' x 24'  The benchwork you see is only half of what is going in.  The far wall will have a nice long 60' run.

I will start a thread in the Layout Building forum at a later date.

WOW, I'm surprised at the response here.

Brian is a master carpenter/cabinet maker so the benchwork is very nice.

The layout will be multi level with a track plan that was designed by Matt Irvin from the Fort Pitt HiRailers and Brian.  There are three BIG yards, two on the side that is complete and on on the side that is not framed yet.  The side that is not framed yet will also be multi level and mostly mountainous.

Brian runs mostly modern diesel power but he does have some nice steam.

Just a note: Brian got his first starter set ALMOST two years ago.

Bill, It's bigger than my current home, 2-car garage and 16-foot shed included.  I'm not complaining at all.  I would just like to visit a layout in that space.  I sure don't want to own and maintain it.

I just noticed your 611 in your signature space.  I love my Imperial #611, and the big one sitting down in Roanoke.
