I have two TIU’s and five AIU’s.

• AIU-1 drives 10 switch tracks (#1 > #10)

• AIU-2 drives 10 switch-tracks (#11 > #20)

• AIU-3 drives 8 switch-tracks (#21 > #28)

• AIU-4 drives 10 switch-tracks (#29 > #38)

• AIU-5 drives 9 switch-tracks (#39 > #47)

A total of 47 switch-tracks addresses, 12 of which are pairs (two turnouts connected to the AIU’s in parallel for track crossover configuration, for a total of 59 individual switch-tracks).

I need to another switch-track, which I will program as #48. If I connect the new switch-track to port 10 of AIU-5, the new switch-track will likely be displayed following #47, the last switch-track.

What would happen if I connected the new switch-track to AIU-3 port 9 and still program it as #48 - will it be displayed after #47, or will it be displayed after #29 (next in sequence for AIU-3)?

Thanks!

Alex

Switch tracks and accessories always appear in their respective DCS Remote lists in the order in which they were added to the remote, not in order by the AIU and port to which they are connected.

This and a whole lot more is all in MTH’s “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition", available for purchase  from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store!
