Good evening everyone, I checked the forum yesterday and seen no listing for the derailment yesterday on the Norfolk Southern main line in Cresson PA.
The derailment occurred around 8:00am yesterday morning December 27 2014 shutting down track # 1
Track 2 and 3 stayed open keeping traffic moving.
The cleanup crews were given an hour at a time and then had to wait for train movement before going back to work getting the derailed cars picked up and moved back west to good rail that was not effected by the derailment.
Anyone familiar with the Cresson PA. observation area the derailment occurred right in front of the observation deck with only 6 or 8 cars east of this location.
No cars laid over on their sides just dropped off the rails.
My wife took several pictures and videos with her new camera that Santa brought her.
