theres a layout I have seen in pictures on the site that it's really not a skirt it's made of wood and looks like lionel's arch bridge then it looked like he painted it with stone paint but can't seem to find the pictures or remember who's layout it was. anyone know what I am talking about ?

your right about the site I have learned a lot from reading . but wood shop nope. heck I don't even have a lot of tools fro wood working. my father does but everything I do is with simple tools a jig saw is my friend. that's what I use the most other than my cordless screw gun. I did all of this with a jig saw a level for the straight edge and a measuring tape and pencil. I did use a drill to make a hole to insert the jig saw that was it . I  built it in the loft now granted my wife will see the mess in the am so she might not let me do it again.
