I have older William's FM with Pittman dc can motors and mechanical unit. Would like to replace eunit. What would be simplest way to get rid of finicky unit? Thanks.

Simplest thing to do would be to add an electronic reversing unit. A few good ones on the market, especially Dallee Electronics, Williams By Bachman ( through their parts dept.) etc......very simple to install.....sometimes forum members sell off simple electronic reverse units when doing upgrades, ......I just got rid of a bunch, or I would been happy to sell you one cheap,.......

Called Dallee ,parts are being shipped and led kit. Also ordered parts for non running proto 2 diesel. Thanks.
