So I have finally started layout on my "Christmas layout", thanks to moonman and have started thinking about doing a permanent layout.  I found this layout on a website and I really like it.  I need some help though because the layout does not allow any room for the train(s) to reverse.  Does anyone have any ideas how I can achieve this?  I would like to have a revers loop at the upper right portion of the yard.  I want to try not to use a turn table.  I will be using fastrack.  i would try to figure this out myself but do not own a computer, since my old one is down.  any help would be greatly appreciated.

well you need two r-loops. One could connect at the elbow in the center front coming out from under the yard. Not sure for the other side yet.

A three switch wye (photo attached) would fit where the train is sitting in APLAN. You would have to pass, stop, back through and then proceed in the opposite direction instead of changing direction on the run. But, it would fit compactly with out disturbing the design too much.

Thanks moonman.  Do you think you will be able to draw me up something?  I appreciate all your help.  I might be able to add an additional 2 feet to the right if that helps

Oh, by the way, the attachments want to open as an HTML, not a .pdf.

Can we connect the bottom of the yard and the top of the yard with O36 track if we made it deeper and longer if need be and have siding and whatnot in the middle to keep with the design?

You want the 3 switch wye? The elevations sort of prevent slipping in two r-loops.

also, the height is 5.25, leaving only 4.75" clearance. No scale size stuff.

No need to extend it unless you want more layout or yard. That's part of the design.
