Since the LUG Meeting notice is now locked, please submit your questions here.

I asked on the announcement thread to not get into discussion but just post questions, suggestions, attendance etc.  Apparently the webmaster mistook my request and locked it from any responses.  So please again, no discussion please just the criteria listed above.  We can certainly discuss the responses from Lionel after the meeting.

Perhaps he'll open the original topic again and I'll move any questions from here to there.

Thanks

1) Mode support on the CAB-1L.  It has to do Legacy and it has to do CAB-1 to control the PowerMasters.  Will it also send true TMCC commands or will TMCC loco's be running in dumbed down CAB-1 mode?

2) TPC's are now considered old/obsolete?  Does Lionel have any plans for a higher output device to replace the TPC for trains that just consume more than 10 amps or provide macro support for PS-1 and PS2/3 engines the way the TPC can?

Who decides what starter sets get the new remote control system. Why not add this to some of the better sets such as the pennsy old time steam passenger set and the bnsf container train set. Why not the overland flyer set for that matter! The 2-4-2 loco's are bull it proof, but they have been run to death and look silly next to there other starter loco's IMHO! Why no liomaster diesil type engines with the new rremote system to better compete with the competitors starter set engines? Can they also quit using all plastic truck and couplers on there starter sets also? I can't think of anyone else who uses those all plastic trucks like that any more. These two improvements mentioned would make there starter sets more appealing and worth buying over the competition's starter sets IMHO!

OK

Thanks.  We just need to make sure the questions are well defined.  A lot of times I have trouble sorting out what is a question vs comment vs something else.  Also I cut and paste these so if your question is not obvious, Jon has a hard time answering.

So in the words of Alex Trebek... Please form your answer in way of a question.

And please make it as clear as can be so there is no mistaking the intent.  The better we ask the better the answer can be formed.

Thanks again all!

Its amazing the person trying to collect questions for the folks from Lionel at the Lionel Legacy meeting asks for questions only in this blog and the poor guy reiterates that and some of you still have to pipe in as the authoritarians of the topic, maybe you folks should start a blog on reading directions or reading period and not what you want to read to serve your agendas.

On the Legacy system utility, is there any way to edit engines when you are NOT connected to the command base? Since I backup the command base to the computer, it seems like editing when not connected should available.

A "For Dummies" listing of helpful hints would be great. For example, in the Legacy utility, you are allowed to select the left and right touch screen icons. What are logical choices for different types of engines (what do people typically do)? Is this something that is likely to be expanded in the future to provide greater flexibility?

Thanks,

I agree with you there.  MTH has PS2 and PS3 in their RTR sets.  Why doen't Lionel do the same with their RTR sets.
