Something changed - the display format is not as concise or clear, the option to permalink or "Link to this post" has been removed, profile pictures are not next to the comment, and there is this odd color bar on the left side...
Thanks b. I'm not seeing things!...

Look around a little before you post wrong info. Check that little 3-pronged icon. That’s the new “Link to this post” link.
My one issue with the update is the way it handles likes. In the old version, it you liked a post, there was a choice to unlike the post, so you could be sure if you had or had not already liked it. Now, if you like a post you already liked, it just decreases the number of likes.
Everything about this "update" makes it more difficult for me to use. That is all.
Posts with photos will revert to an "X " if you go back and alter the text. Had a hard time with this lately. I cut 1 of 5 photos and they all went to an "X" when I went back to review the post.

Not beating anyone up about the new look - just making sure @riki and others don't think they are going insane or their computer has been hacked or whatnot.
I'm not sure I am seeing the 3 pronged icon you mention:
The icon just to the left of the little gear.
Rich,
Thank you for the explanation.
Thanks.
Just a new look. The other was more homie...
But ..looks like other stuff the same..
Looks like it checks the insert photo .. That's cool.
Ok...
The "3 connected dot icon" is commonly called "share"; as opposed to the "dots"(etc) which mostly refers to the top right drop down menus.
Pity the "reply with quote" is retained.
Looks a lot cleaner now.

Yes, but I now have the ability to remove it.
We are going to talk about this internally before making any decision about it.

Pity that people can't figure out how to properly use it. If it gets removed it will be a shame. My opinion.

What we need is a "dislike" button!
I like the change and felt it was easy to adapt to. Just click around, your not going to cause any damage or issues. Think of it as the first time you got an IPhone or IPad and you had to explore. Better yet going for Lionel Post war to the newer digital control systems, embrace the change.
The email update to a "like" has changed too. The email no longer shows your post in the body of the email, just who liked your post.
I use a PC a lot, so with my new eyes now, I wish we had the option to change the bright backgrounds to BLACK and the TEXT to WHITE. Or, make the large blank areas on the right BLACK.

Yeah, that's annoying, particularly if your posts get a lot of likes (not that I'm bragging or anything)... ;-)

I'm not impressed that CrowdStack just changes things and breaks things with no warning. At least I know what service NOT to ever recommend to anyone that asks!
Humor on/ Change is bad /Humor off
Many software engineers change things just because they think it's cool. They have no concept of how it will affect the end user, or whether it will make it easy/difficult for the end user. It's pretty short sighted on the engineer's part.
Where's Tim the tool man. A man's web..

Yes john, that works for me as well..........My eyes cannot take the white background for long periods........... All the sites should have the dark feature....and or high contrast'........

Give me a break, John. Nothing here is broken. It’s just different.
I have received 67 emails so far today about this. Enough is enough.
