Picked up a nice bridge for a great price off an auction site.  After total teardown and repairing the "fixes" done in the last 70 years, got it to run. No matter how tight the counter balancing spring was adjusted, the motor still strained.  Took the cover off the fake ballast compartment and experimented with some impact sockets as weights.  Got it to work decently so raided the tackle box for all the sinkers in there.  Also dumped some small screws in to fill the void, didn't have any BBs.  It works way better now.  Only took about 8 hours of messing around.

Joe,

You could have had Bud take a look and fix it. Only problem is it would take him an hour to unscrew the first bolt and another hour to unscrew the 2nd one! He is still playing around with the S gauge track on the club layout and moving it maybe a half inch over. For what? Don’t know.
Glad to see you are still having fun down in the Carolinas as the club is still chugging along up here in New Jersey.
