I recently acquired a Sunset Models 3rd Rail N&W Y6b #2190.  It is a beautiful engine with lots of wonderful detail.  I did not realize until reading the latest issue of OGR where it rated this engine the best steam engine they had reviewed that it had TMCC.  Like most of the collection I purchased, the brass engines were older with OSI or other sounds or no sounds.

I tried to run it today using the Legacy remote and was not able to get the engine to respond.  I tried to reset command number and it would not take.  I started to open the tender to see if I could locate a problem but decided to try with the older CAB 1.  All functions worked as they should with the CAB1.  I have tried several times to shut off power and reapply to see if I could get engine to work with theLegacy remote to no avail .

I have no instructions for the engine so not sure how to do a reset.

Has anyone ever had this problem with an engine?

Thanks for any help,

Don

Thanks for the help guys.  I have set up well over several hundred TMCC /  Legacy engines in Legacy remotes and this is the first time I had this happen.  Everything ran and worked great using the CAB1 and based  on the advise here, I manually installed info into the CAB2 and it now also runs the engine fine.

Wonderful to be able to get these kind of issues addressed by nice people here so quickly.

Thanks and happy railroading,

Don
