Gentlemen,

Today after talking with MartyE at his Saturday business home, I decide to program some of the Legacy Engines, back into my just repair and upgraded Legacy Base, via my Cab2 HHRC.   Lionel fixed my Cab2 and evidently replacing some thing in the Base and  HHRC wiping out 99% of my Legacy,ERR and TMCC Engine Programming.  Now for you young guys this is absolutely no big deal, for me however I had to take my Mac down to the Train Room and follow the exacting educational video Lionel is kind enough to provide for old men like me.  Man I know I was 18 -22 and fighting in Viet Nam just last week at this time.

It is nice to know I still follow direction very well and my Legacy Shay and my Legacy Northern Pacific GP9 are working even better now, with this nice upgraded legacy Unit.  However I did not even try to reprogram my Scale TMCC JLC GG1 or my upgraded 249 ERR, Tin Plate Engine, I wanted to run my Trains instead of playing the programing game.  I am definitely going to need some help reprogramming these TMCC & ERR Engines back into the Legacy Base, from the looks of it.  No Legacy Module for these guys.  I have no idea how I did it before!

The Scale Northern Pacific Legacy GP9 programmed and waiting a consist on the bottom layout.  No doubt about this is one serious Scale Diesel Engine.

RickO,

Thanks for the Lionel educational video, I definitely needed it.  Looks like I will also need to pick up a FT Programming Track also.

Just so you know I do not own a Smart Phone either!

MRMOE50,

Do not know how to back up the Legacy Base, maybe MartyE can show me how to due this when he pays me a visit sometime after York.

I appreciate the help and suggestions form you gentlemen very much!

RichO, MartyE and Gary,

Now when I manually program my TMCC JLC GG1 into the Cab2, do I enter it as TMCC or Legacy, this Engine has the Odyssey System with Rail Sounds 5.0.  I think I remember programming this engine as a Legacy Engine for some reason.

I am actually starting to like messing around with this programming stuff, it's like a sickness!

Gentlemen,

Thank you all for helping me get these TMCC/Legacy Engines reprogrammed into the Legacy Base.  The TMCC JLC Odyssey GG1is on the ceiling shelf layout pulling a Tin Plate Consist, will post pictures for you in a little while.

RickO,

I saved this entire thread because you posted Lionel Dave's Instructional Programming Video in it.  For some reason my Mac will not let me save just the Lionel Programming Video by itself.  Thanks much again for providing it!

Next I have to reprogram the 249ERR back into the Cab2/Legacy Base.  Guns had a full step by step instruction sheet he worked up for me, can't find it right now.  This home movement has been a nightmare for finding certain individual items.

Pictures of the Scale TMCC JLC GG1 Pulling & Pushing a Tin Plate Consist on the shelf ceiling layout.  The big girl runs smooth as glass on FasTrack!

The Scale TMCC Odyssey Brunswick GG1 has to be a city block long, pulls well also.
