PW Ringing Signal change-up

I think visually it's an improvement over the original 155  configuration, and not just because of the simulated bell atop the accessory.

I always felt the crossbucks originally shared from the 140 banjo signal looked significantly  undersized for the 155;  the 262 crossbucks you utilized are much better proportioned to the entire accessory.

Mr. Korling makes a good point about the 140 crossbuck used on the ringing signal. I've felt the same way and came up with a temporary solution that is easily reversible. The 140 sign part slips out of the 155 tube. Fashion a similar sized post out of plastic or metal for the top that can be inserted into the signal post. Here's the crossbuck to use:

 

 

Anyone remember where that's from? It's an MPC/Lionel part for the early 2310 mechanical gate accessory. It's about the only thing worthwhile in the box. It's white molded plastic with raised lettering painted black. The lettering looks like it was copied/inspired directly from the 154 plastic crossbuck. You can find these mechanical gates kicking around for $5 or less. Be aware that the later gates (#2309 I believe) came with a blank crossbuck part and a railroad crossing sticker. Those could work but this part with the raised lettering looks much better, and looks great with a Lionel crossing signal, 154 or 155.
