I am working (unfortunately, VERY SLOWLY) to get an operating layout. I have started taking the O-72 Fastrack switches that I used on my layout 8 years ago out of their boxes and started testing them. The first one works flawlessly. The second one is having an issue. Using the remote, I can switch between straight and curve. The lantern on the switch is illuminated and rotates to indicate the position of the switch. The remote will illuminate with the green light when the switch is set to straight, but when the switch is set to curve, the red light on the remote does not illuminate. Also, when the switch is set to curve, if I pull the lever for the curve position again I get buzzing. This does not happen when in the straight position. The other switch does not buzz if I attempt to move the switch to its current position.
I am using AUX power, and the switch is not connected to any other track. I have checked the 4 wires that connect the switch to the remote, and they are all electrically connected to the switch. I have tried 3 different remote controllers with the same result.
I searched the OGR forum and did not find anyone with this specific problem.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Or have some ideas on what else to check?
