Retrofit TMCC?

I am returning actively to the hobby and have a question. A while back I dabbled with and bought TMCC setup, and I have always wondered if anyone makes, sells, or performs a retrofit to conventional transformer controlled locomotives to provide TMCC and sound features? I have a beautiful pair of MTH NYC F3's that I would love to upgrade if it can be done reasonably. Any body able to give me a suggestion? Thanks!

I'd wait a month or two. Apparently, ERR is doing an upgrade of the designs of much of their TMCC upgrade stuff, so better sound and more control options may be available when the new stuff comes out.
