Well, one of my Gargraves O-72 switches is giving me fits so I'm leaning towards replacing it with a Ross O-72 switch.
Ross does not seem to offer a parallel transition piece for their O-72 switches.
Question: will my Gargraves O-72 transition piece still work with a new Ross O-72 switch?

It should fit, since Ross matches up with gargraves almost perfectly. They even use the same track pins.
Thanks. But my concern is whether or not the Gargraves transition track will actually keep me parallel when used with the Ross switch.
if the two switches have the same footprint, I should be ok. If they're sized differently, then my end point won't be parallel.
No, but I can't find the Ross footprint right now since I'm off to open my Run Room for company. I'll try tomorrow if no one else finds it first.

You could compare your GG switch with the Ross 072 pdf file w/ dimensions if you haven't done so already:

I never realized that Ross offered the PDF feature. That's handy to have.
If I'm real lucky (unlikely) the curved piece of the switches are the same. But if the curved piece on the Ross switch is longer, I should be fine as I'll just need to break out the Dremel tool and shorten it to match the Gargraves. Problem solved. Happy switching.
Where I'll run into trouble would be if the Ross curved section is shorter.....b/c then I'd need to cut a very short filler piece....which will probably make the switch run very rough, unfortunately.
