I'd venture to say that I have a number of locomotives that have hundreds of operating hours on them.  With regular maintenance, they should run for a long time.

25 hours is just broken in.

Would I be happy if my brand new locomotive was worn out after 25 hours of running time?

I think for most of us the answer would be NO!
