The DCS manual states aproximately that if the transformer used to power a variable channel has less than 18 or 22VAC output, your starting Voltage will be less than 5VAC.

Does anyone know a fixed output transformer that will put out 10 - 16ishVAC? I want to control certain trains and trolleys at lower voltages. From my experiments with the IR controller, I dont want to regulate the input with a dial. I have looked and searched, to no avail.

Thanks

Thanks guys. That one looks good, but I need to beat a dead horse.

If I use the accessory tap on this at full power, it will put 16V on the TIU or the MTH IR controller and it wont be chopped? Is that correct? Is that what pure Sine Wave means?

Also the 14VAC Accessory output on a Z1000 won't do what I want, is that correct?

I don't know why this is so difficult for me to grasp...

Thanks

Barry, I stand corrected.  I knew that the brick outputs 18v, but was not aware the 14v output connection is on the brick, separate from the controller.   The manual is vague, if not completely lacking, in accessory connection instructions.

The Lionel BW, CW, and GW all make the accessory connection at the controller, resulting in other than pure sine wave outputs.
