Mike,

In September 2008, I took my 2-year-old son to The Station in New Cumberland because I used to go there as a kid and was looking for something to do on a Saturday morning.  I was an HO modeler growing up but the folks at the Station convinced me that O Scale had made quantum leaps since the early 1970s.  They weren't kidding.

Since that visit four years ago, I have amassed a respectable collection of O Scale locos, rolling stock and buildings to simulate the Pennsy's Middle Division.

The hobby is more than collecting and running trains if you want it to be.  That's the neat part, all kinds of facets to this hobby.

Enjoy.

My son and I have the same passenger set you show in the pictures.

Wow great story Bob!

I agree The Station is an excellent place go! Dick and Dee Dee are great people!

Oh and I agree too that O scale has definitely made quantum leaps!

I bet your layout looks great! I love the Pennsy in all aspects!

I couldn't agree more Jeff the Lindbergh Atlantic is one heck of a locomotive. The train I had pulling today with all the cars I received really made the atlantic work but it pulled it with ease!
