It's all a mind game at this point, Art.    It's an exercise in perseverance... If I can do it, you can do it too!!!    Lionel helped me seal the deal to walk away when they announced the Y-6b at $600 less out of pocket... and I haven't looked back.  Even sans the depleting coal load and wheel slippage sounds, the Y-6b's hauntingly echoed hooter whistle blows the Big Boy's steam-boat sound out of the water any day.

In a few weeks when the dust settles, you'll be ecstatic with the extra $2K still in your bank account to spend in 2015.    Meanwhile, it'll be nice watching and reading about the excitement of UP fans as they enjoy what appears to be an undeniably fine locomotive.

I can sure see your point David. You make good common sense and excellent discipline in managing your purchases... that's why I pre-ordered both. Those 2 are my favorites. One is stemming from family legacy and the other is the magnificent hooter!

  Looking forward to mine arriving

Bob, there is only one 'problem' with this locomotive-you aren't gonna' want to run any of your other locomotives!

Post some videos of this beast!

As a matter of fact, I'm going to leave work now and head home.  I think I'll run my JLC Big Boy and VL Challengers for the the rest of the afternoon.  Heck with it, it's Christmas time!
