I see a lot of wants for Santa Fe trains, so here is your chance to place your want.
My want is a prairie 2-6-2 in the 1000's. Any builder to produce it.
What do you want?

Ditto, but 1800 class Prairie....it has a more interesting trailing truck. Of course that's just MHO.

And to go with the 2-6-2, we need the 2300 class of coach, cabbage and caboose.

hello guys and gals.......
4000 class Mikado please.

Of course if you paint a brick in the red and silver of the SF it will sell.
Definitely a prairie, preferably one that is in the local Oklahoma, Kansas parks!
I'm all for a Prairie or a Mikado. Personal preference would be brass as there is a lack of smaller engines for SF in brass, or any other road for that matter.
as this is the 3R forum, i simply assumed we were lobbying Scott and Sunset for a Prairie, but perhaps it is best to be clear, I want a Sunset small ATSF steam. I did get the 2-8-0 from some time ago, but I need a Prairie!

Actually, this is sort of a repeat thread. About a year or so ago this same topic, directly aimed at 3rd Rail, ran and got a couple dozen responses, as I recall. The Prairie...either of the 'park princesses'...was, again, a front runner.
Nonetheless, I think the L or M guys could do a credible job if they based their diework on either of the ATSF classes. Then they could plaster any other road name/number on it and I think it would still sell well for the smaller layouts.
Patience.

Ditto.
All you have to do is ask Scott how many deposits he wants, and send them to him. If he doesn't want to do it that way, set up an escrow account, gather yourselves together, and twist his arm. He is in business - you offer him a reasonable number of purchasers, and you can even have one of those truly strange D&H consolidations if you want.
Opinion.
This is a good start to gauge interest before approaching Scott. He reads these posts so it will lay the groundwork for further discussions.
Amos and Andy - the first Super Chief diesels and one of the first EMC road diesels - in that blue/black/green/red-orange paint job. That's my Santa Fe want list.
I'd like it to be injection molded plastic with TMCC, but the most likely one to produce something like this would be MTH. They have always been responsive to requests for new locomotives to build for us.
I would still love a Santa Fe 1000 and/or 1800 class 2-6-2.

Class 1 "Amos & Andy" Box Cab pair.

Hmmmm, better get out my books again and make a list.
Matt,
All interesting. Let me add the M175 - M180. These are a complete train in one unit.
